Custom Event Listeners

Quotify now supports a range of custom events that you can listen to within your JavaScript code. These events allow you to react and respond to specific user interactions, enabling you to create dynamic and personalized experiences. Here are the available events:

  • quotify:opened: Triggered when the Quotify widget is opened.
  • quotify:closed: Fired when the Quotify widget is closed.
  • quotify:submitted: Sent when the quote request is submitted.
  • quotify:page-changed (values: products-overview, edit-product, contact-information, review, thank-you): Indicates a change in the Quotify page, providing granular insights into the user journey.
  • quotify:product-deleted: Fired when a product is deleted from the quote request.
  • quotify:product-added: Triggered upon adding a product to the quote request.
  • quotify:product-updated: Sent when a product in the quote request is updated.
  • quotify:file-uploaded: Fired when a file is uploaded within the quote request.

Introducing Custom Email Addresses!

We understand the importance of making your communication with customers seamless and personalized. That's why we're thrilled to introduce the brand new Custom Email Address feature for our Pro users!

Here's what you need to know:

Default vs. Custom: The Choice is Yours

By default, Quotify sends emails from [email protected] and forwards any replies to your designated email address. While this works perfectly well, we want to give our Pro users the ability to add a personal touch to their email communications.

How It Works: Easy as 1-2-3

Getting started with your custom email address is a breeze:

  1. Navigate to Notifications Settings: Head over to your Quotify account's notifications settings.
  2. Enter Your Desired Email Address: Input the email address you'd like to use for your Quotify emails.
  3. Confirm Your Choice: Check your inbox for a confirmation link sent to the email address you provided. Click on it to confirm your choice.

Instant Activation: Within just 5 minutes, your custom email address will be in action, used for all confirmation emails sent to your customers.

Why Customize Your Email Address?

  • Personalization: Make your email communications more personal and memorable.
  • Branding: Reinforce your brand identity by using your own domain.

From Quotify's setting page you can export all your quote requests you have received.

Custom email notifications

You can now set a custom subject and message for your internal email notifications. When you enter a custom message, all default messages that Quotify shows will be hidden. You can also choose to use a different language. Make sure you provided all the translations in the translations settings. English will be used as a fallback if Quotify cannot find a translation.

Customer mapping

You can now map your quote field in order for a customer to be automatically created when you convert a quote request into a draft order. From the settings menu, click on 'Field Mapping'. Next, copy and paste the field tags into the input fields that match with Shopify's customer fields. Logging out and back in may be required for Shopify to ask the required permissions to create new customers.

Open quote cart

It is now possible for your customers to open their 'pending quote cart' with all the products they have added to the quote. You will need to add the following button to your theme:

You will need to enable and disable Quotify from the settings menu if you installed Quotify before 25th of August 2021

Shopify Online Store 2.0 Support

Quotify is now compatible with Shopify Online Store 2.0.

Instant add to Quote

You can now enable 'Instant Add' from your Quotify settings page. When this is enabled, users are no longer prompted to set the product quantity as this is now set to one by default. Users are still able to edit the quantity if they want to.

Custom thank you page

From the customization menu you can now provide your own thank you page url. The user will be redirected to this page after submitting their request. This will make it easier to track conversions for your marketing campaigns.

Custom CSS and Javascript

You can add your own CSS and Javascript from the settings menu. Click 'Customization' and enter your own CSS or Javascript. Use with caution.

Change font style

From the Appearance menu you can now change the font style and choose between Sans Serif and Serif.

Convert quote request into draft order

You can now convert a quote request into a draft order with just a single click. If it doesn't work, please logout of Shopify and log in again. Shopify will ask you to grant Quotify access to create draft orders for your store. 

Quote received confirmation email

It is now possible to enable confirmation emails. When one of your customers requests a quote they will receive a confirmation email. You can enable this feature from your notification settings.

File upload support

File uploads have been requested quite often. So we are happy to announce you can now add file uploads to your quote request form. The upload limit per file is 10 MB. We will apply storage limits in the near future, but we will expect it to be more than enough for most users. 

Email notifications improved

Previously you would receive a notification with a link to Quotify to view the quote request. From now on, all information is included in the email notification.
